How a point session works

1
Two lines. When you're at the front, your partner for that short session is whoever is at the front of the other line.
2
Find an open court, get behind the baseline, and prepare to serve.
3
Win the point → you become King/Queen and keep playing with that temporary partner to rack up as many points as you can.
4
Miss a serve → both players go back to the lines.
5
When the run is over, go to the score pad (iPad on the tripod): tap your name, their name, and the points. It takes a photo of both of you as confirmation.
6
Get back in line. You don't stay paired with the same person for the next turn.

Two scoring rounds

Round 1 · ~35 minutes

Challengers serve. Offense-focused: win the point, become King/Queen, stack points.

Round 2

King side serves. Now you have to play defense to earn bigger point runs.

After both rounds, every player has a point total used for playoff seeding.

Playoffs

  • Rank everyone by points scored.
  • Pair by seed: 1+2, 3+4, 5+6, 7+8, and so on.
  • Bracket size is flexible — usually 8, 16, or 32 depending on turnout.
  • Partners stick together for the entire playoff.

Setup steps for the app and day-of runbook come next.
