TOURNEY FORMAT
SpikeNGo tournament is now called Kings.
Underdawgs is now called Pools.
You can have Solo and Team versions of the above.
You have 4 main tourney formats:
Solo Kings
- sign up as a solo, exact numbers are not necessary
- get in line behind a cone, when you are at the front of the cone, the other person at the front of the cone is your temporary partner
- find a court that does not have anyone serving and get on deck
- serve and try to become a king, if you do its 1 point, if you miss, both of you get back in line (same line preferably so you don't play together again right away)
- as kings, score as many points as you can, and then when you're done you go to the score pad to enter your score
- get back in line and repeat it again
- 2 rounds of Kings, then you earn the best partner for playoffs if you made it
- you will keep this partner for rest of the tournament
Team Kings
- sign up as a team, exact numbers are not necessary usually
- when you are at the front of the line, find a court that does not have a team on deck
- becoming the kings is 1 point, get as many as you can
- missed serve count as a point for you and against you
- earn your playoff seed based on your kings scoring
Solo Pools
- sign up as a solo
- tournaments are usually 16, sometimes 24 players (exact)
- randomly put into a pool, and you will play mini games with everyone in your pool
- based on your win/loss and points scored you will have a chance for playoffs and earn your best partner
- keep the same partner for all playoffs
Team Pools
- sign up as a team
- number of teams is usually multiple of 4 or 5
- your team will be put in a pool.. play everyone in your pool
- top teams go on to playoffs
